Remember the Elgrand from yesterday's quickride? It's my friend's Elgrand and he's planning on selling it. Then after i have a Indonesian standard lunch, i have a stupid idea. It's called Elgrand Turbo.
The Nissan Elgrand has the VQ35DE like those in 350z, only in the Elgrand it's detuned to 240hp. My plan is simply stick a turbo in there, how hard can it be?
Why? Because RWD Turbo Minivan that's why!
So, what do you think? I know the first thing i should adress is the lack of engine bay room, the VQ looks like a tight squeeze down there.
And oh, here's how Indonesian Standard Lunch just in case you were wondering..

first step id do is see HOW its detuned.
its one thing to have just a different tune. but if the cams are different then it might mess with what your are trying to do, and it might be easier to just rip out the cams and slap in a set from a 370

I think it might have a different set of cams, it might worth some hp.

yea.
and to answer your turbo question: hard. a lack of spac to start with, plus the tuning. maybe you can get a tune for a turbo 350, but i'm not sure.

Stupid idea it is not, stupid is not caring out this idea. Get the turbo and make it fit, power bulge the bonnet if needed! What will a chip/ECU upgrade get you in HP?
